J RAUD – Naked as a Jay Bird1. Song ‘Naked as a Jay Bird’ was recorded in my apartment in Virginia, in 90 plus degree weather, drinking copious amounts of sweet tea. I couldn’t run the air because we had window units, which make too much noise and ruin recordings. A 4-track tape recorder was used. I transferred the songs from tape to computer for mixing and mastering. Mixing proved difficult, but this album was fun to make. Some songs were made up on the fly as I was recording. This is the only album I’ve made where all the songs follow a theme lyrically and musically. Produced by: Jeff Raudebaugh Recorded: April 2006, January 2007, May-August 2008, June 2009 |

Peddlers – 1400 Vermont1. The Wait Guitars, Vocals: Jeff Raudebaugh / Bass: Lucas Conklin Guitars, Vocals: Luke Rohlfs / Drums: Shawn Sky ‘1400 Vermont’ was recorded by Nate Brown and my Michigan band Peddlers. Shawn and Lucas started playing their instruments the day we formed the band (sometime in May 2005). Rohlfs joined in 2006, adding a nice dynamic with his vocals and guitar. We practiced in the 1400 Vermont Street house in Lansing, MI, once or twice a week, between college classes and work. I remember a lot of pizza and beer being consumed. Some rock stars fuel their writing with drugs. We fueled our writing with pizza and beer. The neighbors didn’t complain about our noise, they enjoyed it. Produced by: Nate Brown, Peddlers Recorded: January-August 2007 . |

Jeff Raudebaugh – Nickels & Dimes1. Beginning ‘Nickels & Dimes’ was written and recorded between 2001 and 2004. Recording took place during college breaks, in the basement of my Dad’s house. I used a computer and free software. My Grandfathers old 1980’s keyboard is featured on a lot of the tracks. Most of the songs were created as I was recording them. ‘Red Rover’ always makes me laugh. ‘Candy Cigarettes’ was inspired by the toy chimes at McCurdy Park in Owosso.
